This is the privacy notice that lives at worksopworkspace.co.uk/privacy. It tells visitors to the website what data we collect, why, and what their rights are. It is deliberately concise and plain — UK GDPR doesn't reward long, jargon-filled notices, it rewards clear ones.

The internal Privacy Policy and Data Protection and GDPR policies are the operational backbone. This document is the public-facing summary.

Who we are

Worksop Workspace is the trading name of the business operating a coworking space at 30 Carlton Road, Worksop, S80 1PH.

We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

What data we collect from website visitors

Things you give us when you submit a form (express interest, contact us, book a meeting room, sign up for membership): name, email, phone (if provided), the message you typed, and whatever else is on the form.
Things our forms backend captures when you submit: the date and time, your IP address, the page you submitted from, and the interest tags you selected.

We do not collect: payment card data on this site (Stripe handles that on their own servers; we never see your card number), special category data (health, religion, etc.), or anything else not on the form.

Why we use your data and our lawful basis

We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not use it for profiling or automated decision-making.

Who we share your data with

Go High Level — our forms backend, which processes the form submissions and sends us the resulting leads. They are an EU/US-based platform with appropriate safeguards.
Stripe and SumUp — when you pay us. They process card payments under their own privacy policies.
Email and document providers — Google Workspace handles our email and documents.
Accountant — for invoices and tax.
Authorities — if we are legally required to share (court order, HMRC, police).

We will never sell your data, and we don't pass it to third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become customers: 24 months, then deleted.
Members and active customers: for as long as you're a member, plus 6 years after your last interaction (HMRC tax record requirement).
CCTV footage: 30 days, then automatically overwritten, unless we've preserved a specific clip for an incident.
Accident book entries: 3 years (HSE recommendation).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

Access the data we hold on you (a Subject Access Request — see the SAR Procedure)
Correction of inaccurate data
Deletion of your data, where there's no overriding reason for us to keep it
Restriction of processing
Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable form
Object to processing based on legitimate interest
Withdraw consent at any time for anything we're doing on a consent basis

To exercise any of these, email hello@worksopworkspace.co.uk with "Data request" in the subject. We respond within one calendar month.

If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
